Engine maintenance

In the following images you see an engine of a Mercedes 600 being overhauled to an optical like-new condition. The engine is taken apart all the way down to the block and cylinder heads. Afterwards all the attachment parts are overhauled and the engine is built together from scratch. All aluminium casting parts as well as the outlet manifold are glass bead blasted and chemically nickel-plated. The metal parts such as screws etc. are also glass bead blasted and yellow zinc plated. Naturally all the gaskets and ball bearings are also replaced.
