Woodwork

The Mercedes 600 has, depending on the model, between 40 and 80 wooden parts. The base material of these parts is Beechwood or similar and is coated with high quality face veneers (Brazilian-rosewood, makasar, walnut root etc.). During the restoration process the old coating is completely removed. Depending on the condition damaged veneer parts are replaced and loose pieces are re-glued. After sanding 7 coats of paint are applied. When the last coat has dried all the parts are brightly polished by hand.

Price upon request depending on the condition of the wood.

In the following 3 images you can clearly see what affect the sunlight has on the wooden parts. These parts are from the same vehicle and are, depending on the installation position, original dark or very faded from the sunlight.
